Meet John Park: Storyteller & Photographer

There is more unknown than known in the world.  

Photography is a way for me plumb these mysteries, a way to make the invisible visible. I often say that my subject matter is hidden in plain sight and I am drawn to the form, color and patterns of everyday life. I look for special moments that are strangely beautiful, striking or thought-provoking, and that can act as kindling in the mind of the viewer. 

I am not a “technical” photographer in that I attempt to capture the emotion or essence of a subject, rather than “accurately” documenting the subject itself.   

If I have a mission, it is to help the world remember what it has forgotten to see.
